Lego 9515 Malevolence Set Review

This is a set review for the Lego Malevolence, a huge set with the most pieces out of my whole collection. This set has 6 minifigures and 1 vehicle, which is the set itself, the Malevolence ship. It took me about 2 hours to build, and was very clear in the instructions about what piece goes where, which is what I would expect from Lego. The minifigures are General Grievous, Battle Droid Commander, Battle Droid, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, and Count Dooku, all wonderfully printed and true to source material and faithful interpretations of their TV show counterparts. The Malevolence itself is huge, and is made with lots of detail and can have all 6 minifigures inside! The set also includes a carrying handle for easy transportation and play, and has firing cannons on the sides! While it doesn't fire like in the show, it is still a welcome feature to the set. Each cannon has 6 missiles, and fires by pulling a handle included on each side, which fires a missile, but you will have to manually turn it in order to continue firing all the missiles. The inside of the front represents the bridge, which is actually located in the back on the tower part. It has a seat to drive the ship  and a command station, as well as space to place minifigures. The back section opens to show 2 small trains, one with supplies and one without, to represent the trains in the massive starship in the show. However, there is not a lot of space to move them around, so it is limited to short transportation from the back of the ship to the bridge. My sister and I have thought of many creative stories and events for this set to do, so you won't be disappointed if that's what you're after! This set is an excellent one and I hope you will consider this one for a friend, yourself, or for display! Now for the ratings:

Minifigures: 9/10 Could have included another battle droid
Creativity: 9/10 They thought of many different building techniques to put into the set
Fun Value: 9/10 There are many ways to play with this and many stories for it
Display: 9/10 Looks great on my desk!
Stability: 9/10 No problems with the handle and everything feels sturdy

Awesomeness Rating: 45/50

Get this set before it's gone!

Note: Sorry to make you wait, I just was busy with a lot of stuff this year, and I'll try to release reviews and more gradually! Considering making this blog more than just for Lego reviews! Special Thanks to my mom's cousin (and my second cousin) Danny for getting me this set! Really enjoying it! Feedback appreciated, and see you in my next review!

Lego Galaxy Squad 70704 Vermin Vaporizer Review

My dad's friends from his college class got me this Lego Galaxy Squad set and I'll be reviewing it today. This set retails for $59.99, has 506 pieces, and has 3 minifigures: an alien buggoid, Chuck Stonebreaker, and a robot sidekick. Now this is currently my only Galaxy Squad set, but it gave me a good first impression. My favorite minifigure is definitely the robot sidekick, he just looks awesome. The set itself has an alien scorpion vehicle, a Galaxy Squad green team buggy, mech, and Vermin Vaporizer. All in all, when complete, it looks really awesome. Although, I should note that it has a LOT of stickers, so younger kids may need help with that. The Lego tires in the set are hard plastic like the other pieces and are not rubber, so that can be a plus or a minus in your opinion. Now onto the other parts of the set:

FEATURES

This set has a lot of play features, like the detachable mech, buggy, and laboratory in the back. When you look in the back (after you detach the mech) there is a little research station or lab back there for the green Galaxy Squad team to study the alien cocoons with, which I thought was a nice touch. The mech is my favorite part of the set, and is extremely posable. Its toes split open for stability, it has 2 flick missiles, and its arms have cannons for hands (they don't actually fire). The robot drives the mech while Chuck drives the buggy. The little buggy can come out via the opening front. The actual battle buggy is the main part of the set and is very cool. It has 2 cannons on the side and 2 flick missiles, as well as an opening cockpit. The alien scorpion vehicle is a nice touch and also has 2 flick missiles and a cannon on the scorpion tail. Look out, long-range stinger!:) Anyhow, this is an excellent set with a LOT of play features. Now onto the ratings!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, a really awesome set and I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes mechs, bugs, green, Galaxy Squad, or a good building set. This set is jam-packed with play features and fun, and people will want to get it for parts, minifigures, or for their kids. Here are the ratings:

Fun 10/10
Features 10/10
Stability 9/10
Awesomeness 10/10

Hope you like my reviews and post your feelings or if you like my reviews in the comments!
To my dad's friends: Thanks a bunch!

Review of Lego The Hobbit 79010 The Goblin King Battle

My Mom's cousin Danny got me this set and I am going to review it today.

It is the largest set in the first wave of Lego the Hobbit sets. It has seven minifigures and one "big fig".The figs are Dori, Nori, Ori, Gandalf, 2 goblin soldiers, a goblin scribe, and the Goblin King. The set has three main parts: the throne, the bridge and crane, and the catapult area. I counted the set having 13 skulls!! This set retails for $99.99 U.S., and has 841 pieces. This set is definitely NOT for youngsters, because when I was building it I found a lot of parts were either small, frustrating to get on ( for youngsters), or fragile ( this set is not known for its durability). Although it has probably been stated before on other sites, the three parts are NOT connected in any way, which allows you to place it anywhere you like.

FEATURES
This set has a lot of features, and I'll start with the catapult. It has three little pieces to fire (representing rocks) and can rotate all around for better range. There is also a crane for the little goblin scribe to ride in that goes up and down and rotates all around. The bridge is can fall down, as can the ladder, and the throne has a cage to trap a dwarf or wizard. Underneath the throne is some treasure that can slide out (with a skull guarding it!) and the throne can seat the Goblin King himself.

SCORING
This set is a great set and is necessary in order to collect all 13 dwarves. Now onto the scoring:
Durability 5
How it looks 7
Playability 8
Minifigures 9

Overall excellent set for older kids and adults. Younger kids might want to get something smaller as this set is not especially durable but, as I said, great set! My final scoring will be: 8.3/10. Please comment on how you think the set is and hope you like my review!

Lego Ninjago 9450 Epic Dragon Battle Review

 Contents of the box

Contents of the box with instructions and me

Mini figures of the set
The Ultra Dragon

Details:
Here finally is the review from the Epic Dragon Battle from Ninjago. It contains 915 pieces, and costs about $120 and had 9 bags of parts and 3 instruction booklets. Even though the price is hefty, it is worth it! Once you complete building it, it will have a Snake Prison, the Great Devourer Snake and The Ultra Dragon. It is a huge set and is my biggest so far. It took me 3 hours and 30 minutes, including breaks, to build this. Some of the features in this set include opening wings on the Ultra Dragon, swinging tail, saddle for ninja, pose-able heads, and two dragon heads that shoot spheres. The secret to the opening wings is the handle on its back which comes in handy when playing. The Great Devourers features include pose-able tail, opening mouth with space for a mini figure, and fangs that fold in. The Snake Prisons features include space for up to two mini figures up front, a hidden back prison, decorative snake fountain on top, decorative snake heads on sides, swinging open jail door, and dumping snack venom. It includes 7 mini figures from the show including Sensei Wu, Lord Garmadon, and the Green Ninja as well as Acidicus, Skalidor, Jay ZX, and Chokun each with accessories.

Thoughts:
Before I even built this set, I knew it would be a great set. I never collected all four of the elemental dragons from 2011, but I knew getting this would be just as good. I had two of the dragons but I never got the other two. I thought the Great Devourer would not be as good but it surprised me with its playability and I thought of all the possibilities to play with it. The Snake Prison was a wonderful addition especially considering it has a Lego spider with it. I had already had two of the snake generals but getting this will almost complete my collection of snake generals (missing Pythor). Jay ZX was a wonderful addition even though he is pretty common, Sensei Wu is a good addition because I needed more of him, and Lord Garmadon was a good addition especially with the four Golden Weapons. The short snake, Chokun, was a good addition because I needed more snakes and enemies, the Green Ninja was a good addition, but what really caught my eye was the Ultra Dragon because of its huge stature and simply because it was a dragon.

Final Thoughts:
Overall an excellent set and I give it a 10/10. Other people might have some complaints but I find none except sometimes the Great Devourer comes apart, its jaw occasionally falls off, and the Ultra Dragons tail sometimes comes off, but are easy fixes and do not annoy me. Overall,l if you have leftover Christmas or birthday money or have an upcoming birthday, you should either buy it or put this on your wish list if you like Legos, Ninjago, dragons or snakes. Overall would recommend it and I hope you have a great day.

Lego Ninjago 9450 Epic Dragon Battle Preview

This is only gonna be a preview of 9450 Epic Dragon Battle and I'll do an awesome review of it later.
It is a set from Lego Ninjago released in summer 2012. It costs $119.99 at shop.lego.com.
I'll be getting it either today or tomorrow, earliest and latest respectively. It's a HUMOUNGOUS set with 915 pieces and 7 minifigures. You also build an Ultra Dragon, which is 20" long,14" wide, and 9" tall; a huge Great Devourer snake, which is 13" long; and a snake prison. Its seven minifigures are:
Skalidor, general of the Constrictai snake army,
Acidicus, general of the Venomari snake army,
Chokun , member of the Constrictai army,
Lord Garmadon, lord of the underworld ,
Sensei Wu , sensei of the four ninja,
Jay ZX, one of the four ninja,
And the fan favorite Green Ninja, alias Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon.
I will do a review soon . Please comment ( do NOT use foul language or cursing and please keep the comments positive) .
